Dr. Christina Chrisman is a fellowship-trained, board certified neurologist and neuromuscular specialist. She currently serves as section head of Neuromuscular Medicine and director of the EMG Unit at Banner University Medical Center-Phoenix which is recognized as a Partner in MG Care of the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America. She is a clinical assistant professor of neurology at University of Arizona College
of Medicine. Dr. Chrisman completed a fellowship in neuromuscular medicine at UCLA and Cedars-Sinai Medical Centers in Los Angeles, CA and completed a residency in neurology at Barrow Neurological Institute/St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. She is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN. Prior to her medical training, she graduated magna cum laude with a Baccalaureate of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, the #1 ranked undergraduate college of engineering in the United States. Dr. Chrisman has presented at numerous national conferences and has various publications which include co-authoring textbook chapters on ALS. Dr. Chrisman’s outpatient practice focuses on patients with neuromuscular disorders of all varieties and she enjoys treating patients with myasthenia gravis in particular. She participates in staffing the inpatient general neurology service and teaching neurology residents at Banner University Medical Center-Phoenix. She is skilled in procedures including nerve conduction/EMG testing, skin biopsies, and intrathecal injections of medications. She is proficient in English and Spanish. She enjoys hiking and yoga in her spare time.
